I have owned on for a number of years now, I bought it used and worn, but still works great,
it will save one hours of time and labor in floor coverings removal,
It will take up stubborn 60 years old linoleum in Min's, that would take one hours with a hand bar, used it in my Daughters home and recovered the original wood floors under the old flooring, in the bath room she worked for three days with a hammer and chisel to remove the floor coverings, and I came in with this machine and did the kitchen in under two hours, of basically the same materials, and the room was 6 to 8 times larger,
Just used my machine yesterday, to take off old flooring in preparation for putting down new hard wood, in a 100 year old home,
I have rented my machine out a number of times as well and have no one say they thought they wasted there time or money with the machine. and all were grateful for the opportunity to use it. all saying it saved them many hours of work.
If there is a draw back to it is noisy,
Fairly easy to move as the weight comes off of the machine to make it lighter,
There is a company demo video of how to use and shows it in action on youtube as well, jsut search for, "Palmer Electric Floor Stripper Demo".
Mine is a older unit and would like to have the improved blade tightener system that allows one to tighten the blade from the top, and keeps one fingers away from the blades, as the palmer machine now has.
I think it is a good machine and would buy it again,
