Although this is advertised as a toy, it has been used as a tool to help hold small things and solder them. It has really been a big help with the small things we use it for (mainly electronics). The clamps are good strength and do not smash the item they are holding, and the magnifier is very handy as well.
They only thing that could make this any better would be a LED light attached to it, but it is not necessary.
