Customer Review: Great for many uses

I have found these to be much more useful than I ever anticipated. The kids have used them enthusiastically at parades, outdoor music festivals, car rides when they bicker, at home when power tools or the lawn mower is used, or at other times when they just need to tune everything else out. They are 3 & 5 years old. I have put them on kids as old as 9 with no problems in fit. They live in the dashboard of my car so that we always have them available. They are bulky and don't fold at all, thus they have taken a bit of a beating but have held up perfectly. Protecting kids hearing far outweighs the minimal annoyance factor of stuffing these things in my purse.
According to the packaging "typical life for foam inserts is 6 months." I can't see how this foam will degrade in such a short time when it is protected so well in a plastic shell. But it's worth keeping in mind if you really need the full 22dB noise reduction that these are rated for. The foam is simple and easy to remove so I would imagine that replacement would be easy.
I just bought a third/spare pair for their friends to use since they always want them when my kids put theirs on. Highly recommended.
