Customer Review: Soft as a blanket... but supposed to be towels!

I bought these because they were on a ridiculously good sale. They are fine for the price and it's nice to have a matching set of towels finally. They're very soft, but they do not have that magical thirsty quality that some towels have where they dry you completely with just one swipe. The bath size towel would probably be a baby's favorite blankie - they are that soft. Admittedly, absorbency is always hit or miss when I buy towels - sometimes it's the oddest cheapest thing that turns out to have that quality while something that feels wonderful in the store turns out to be useless for its job. I'd recommend these for a guest bath where you want something that looks nice at a good price that won't be used for drying a whole person every day!Customer Review: Good Value

I wish there was a way to know in advance where things are made. I was expecting Portugal which makes truly wonderful products but these were made in Pakistan. They are very good for the price and the wash cloths are almost like finger tip towels (very large). The taupe color that I purchased was not consistently the same throughout all pieces so I would not recommend that color. Again very good for the price but I always prefer Portugal!Customer Review: Okay but far from amazing

I was excited to get "Egyptian Cotton" towels on sale, but am disappointed with the performance: they are not very absorptive. They are soft enough, but the only towels I seen that were less soft were my Army-issued towels from Basic Training. Next time I'll go to Walmart or Macy's and put my hands on the towel before getting excited.Customer Review: Good, bag broken, one towel dirty

It's a cheap set, but the presentation in pretty poor. I got a broken plastic bag with one of the sets, and, consequently one of the towels was dirty. But I couldn't be bothered to return the whole package just for that. Good value, now I have to see how they work after several washings.Customer Review: Not the best

They are thick and soft, but strangely non-absorbent. Also, after just a couple of months, loose threads are hanging from the hems of some of the towels. I gave them three stars just because the quality is reasonable for the price.
