I bought this pillow because I was having back pain. This pillow has made a significant difference in the way my back feels in the morning. I no longer wake up feeling stiff and sore. It's a little more firm than I like it when it's new; but I have a friend who has an old one so I know it will soften with continued use. If your looking for the most solid pillow ever, this is it! It doesn't give much (not much play). Very firm & molds minimally to your head. It takes a bit getting used to if you've always used a foam of feather pillow. I didn't know which end to lay my head on? Which end or side (wide slotted or long flat), (top or bottom) do you place your head on? It didn't come with directions.Customer Review: Great pillow

As stated by others, if you use the pillow case that comes with the pillow, it is very hard and rather thick. However, if you just use two normal pillow cases, you can adjust the firmness and thickness of the pillow. It is very comfortable and easy to adjust between sleeping on your side to on your back. I was having terrible trouble with my neck and was going to physical therapy and decided I needed to switch pillows so I purchased this micro bead pillow and the combination of the two helped me to be pain free. This pillow conforms to your neck and head and provides great support. We bought this pillow for our daughter who was experiencing neck and shoulder pain in the mornings. After just a day or two of using this pillow the pain and shoulder strain were greatly reduced. After a few weeks, the pain is gone.
These microbead pillows are great for people who need neck support while they sleep. I highly recommend them if you have this problem.
