When I purchased this, friends said WHAT!! $55 for a trash can!! Then they saw it and said WOW!! What a great trash can!! I love this item. I have gone through so many trash barrels in my kitchen. My kitchen is shaped awkwardly and all the different plastic varieties just didn't cut it. Whatever type of cover with which to put in the trash they just didn't work. They also just looked so cheap and out of place.
This one is amazing. The polished stainless steel shines brightly and looks perfect in my kitchen adding a certain class while serving its purpose. And having the pedal to use to open the lid has solved all my problems. There is also a plastic inner pail with handle which makes filling and emptying the trash easy and efficient.
Now my kitchen looks great, I can discard of my trash easily and the steel makes the kitchen look great. For all the money I used on other trash baskets this one is well worth the price. Sometimes you just need to pay a little more for the right one. And it will last forever.
Well worth the money.
