Customer Review: Decent rod with one major design flaw

Overall this is a decent shower curtain rod as long as you have somebody to help you set it up. The installation is tool-less (there is an option to use screws to mount it but there is no real reason to do so).
As other reviews on here state, this rod is designed such that when you "lock" it in place, you can not make any further changes to the extension of the rod. I don't know why the designers created the product in this way, as every other curtain rod I've ever used allows for removal and re-installation. With this rod, once you lock it, it stays in place, and good luck ever taking it down.
The first unit I received came shipped in the "locked" position, making it impossible to install (it was locked in the fully collapsed position, so I couldn't extend the rod at all, even with me and a friend tugging on it). I had to request a replacement from Amazon. Fortunately they provided their usual good support in replacing products and sent me an advance replacement. The second unit worked perfectly, and is now in use in my shower. No complaints beyond the strange design flaw. I don't know if this rod will rust if used with metal curtain rings; I am using a ring-less shower curtain so I shouldn't get scratches on the finish, and hopefully I won't ever have to find out whether or not it rusts.

Our bathroom (1923 house) is not even the size of a decent walk in closet and i was looking for ways to maximize the space we had. This shower rod is great to help with that! I installed it (with help, it takes 2 people) and hung the shower curtain and liner on the outer rod and left the inner rod empty so we can hang the non-slip bath mat, a hook with shower puffs, towels, etc on the inside so when we close the curtain the clutter is hidden. I installed it with both rods at the same height, the pics and instructions have it installed at a 45 degree angle but there's no reason why you can't have the rods level with each other.
The only drawback is the installation. Even with 2 people, like the instructions suggest, I felt like we didn't have enough hands to keep all the pieces together and get it up correctly. We did but there were a few choice words said!

Now, here's a nifty product if you don't want to drill holes in your walls. The DUO rod and rack is easy to put together; you just put the poles in the two holders. The holders have rubber on the end to keep it from slipping; it works fairly well if you and balance the weight. The directions say it's a two-man job to set it up, but I had little problems doing it myslef. If you're working with a large shower it would be easier with two people. It's also great to stick up between two close-spaced walls.Customer Review: I like it

Nice curtain rod if you don't plan on taking it down and reusing it. As other reviews say, once this goes up you can't take it down without cutting it. I put the rod up by myself although it says to have two people. I'm sure two people would make it easier, but it was fairly simple for myself. I've only been using it for a month so we'll see how it holds up. For someone with a small bathroom like myself, it's nice to be able to put a towel on one bar and have the shower curtain hide it.Customer Review: It works

This towel rack serves it's purpose in our small bathroom. When space is at a premium, little inventions like this can be crucial. However, it has never struck me as being that different from simply draping the towels over a singe rod. Maybe they dry a bit faster this way, but the still hit the plastic curtain on one side.
I mostly like it because it's so sturdy. I no longer have to worry about having a heavy tension rod come crashing down on me unexpectedly!
