Customer Review: A rubber washer can help the broken piece so it can work again

My Pollinex hand held shower head has worked for more than 3 1/2 years. The plastic compression ring just broke last week.
Try adding a rubber washer in front of the broken ring in the collar. I used one that has an inner diameter (i.d.) of 13/16" and an outer diameter that matches the inside of the collar housing (1 1/8"? I'm not sure, now). I took the whole shower head in to the hardware store to check the fit. After removing all the pieces (they probably already fell off), the order in which to replace the parts over the shower head's ball connector (the piece installed on your shower's outflow pipe):
1.) Place the the collar housing over the ball with threads facing away from the wall and hold it there.
2.) Slip the broken ring over the ball with the smaller side to the wall.
3.) Slip the washer over the ball and make sure the collar and washer fit as far back on the ball as possible.
4.) Firmly but gently, hold the shower hose's threaded end up to the collar and squeeze the collar onto the threads while turning. Once you know you have a clean grab on the threads, you can gently tighten it until you have enough tension on the ball join to keep your shower head in position.

Except for being plastic and needing to be replaced once a year, I really like this product. On the first showerhead needing to be replaced, the plastic split where the hose connects to the shower head. With the one I have to replace now, the plastic split where the hose connects to the water supply. Hopefully, I can find something made out of metal.Customer Review: Okay!!

This hand held shower head was very easy to install and the setting worked wonderfully. I especially liked the misting setting. After a few uses, I noticed that the heavy head did not sit sturdily on the holder and would occasionally fall off. In addition when moving the handle to suit each user the fixture would loosen from the shower nozzle and would have to be tightened. We still use it, but will be looking for a replacement in the near future. For now it seems a shame to discard even though it was purchased at a bargain price.Customer Review: longest shower ever, takes forever to rinse

You get what you pay for. The amount of water that this puts out is not enough to wash your hair or soap off your body without a great deal of extra time. Might as well have used the sink. The circumference of the spray, not to mention the force, is just pitiful.
