We used 2 of these on our recent trip to Ireland and were extremely happy with the under four dollar price from Amazon and the free shipping with Amazon Prime. We purchased a Samsonite version which also worked well but was bigger/bulkier and much more expensive. Our friends didn't have a grounded adapter and some of their items wouldn't charge until they used one of our grounded adapters. Some have plastic ground/earth plugs and don't seem to work with all gadgets.
If you are going to Ireland or the UK I'd strongly recommend picking up a few of these adapters.

After reading reviews about plugs falling out of the adapter, we decided to buy just one and see for ourselves. My wife is a flight attendant who travels to London multiple times a month. She used it on her last trip with no problems. The US plug stayed in the adapter and the adapter stayed in the UK receptacle. I have no idea if she was lucky or they have improved their product recently but we just ordered five more for friends and relatives attending our son's wedding in the UK this summer.Customer Review: Rating plug in adapter

I am pleased to find the plug in adapter on Amazon. They are difficult to find in the shops, and I will be needing one on my trip to Scotland. It arrived in the packaging and in mint condition and in enough time before my trip. I am very pleased with the product and love Amazon! Thank you for being there.
My shopping is somewhat limited because I don't have a car. But with Amazon, I need not worry. They have everything I would need. And I am always treated with respect.

I purchased 3 of these, 1 for me and 2 for a friend in the UK that has some US products. They worked great and the best thing is how inexpensive they were. I've had to buy complete converter packages in the past that cost up to $30, when all I needed was a UK converter. If you travel to the UK often, it's well worth it picking a couple of these up.Customer Review: Awesome adapter

I recently went to Ireland and brought this adapter with me. It fit perfectly. It was small and compact, had a snug fit, and worked as advertised. The price was excellent. I will be using this adapter on future trips to Ireland.
