Can anyone who either owns one of these generators or a similar type comment on something please? If you wanted to leave the generator in a certain location most of the time could you place it in something such as a small 'dog house like ' building and leave it there while running ? I was wondering if it would be OK to run it while enclosed ,to not only protect it, but to lessen the noise it made. You could build the enclosure so you could wheel it out when ever you needed to and lock it when not in use. Also can this particular generator be wired so it will automatically start when there is a power failure ? If not this is still a good price for a 8000/10000 watt emergency power suppply. If it produces a reliable 60HZ sine wave to run things like computers which need a steady 'near perfect' output, it is really a good buy.

It took too long for Amazon to get this thing to me (two weeks plus) but it worked wonderfully when they got it to me. It took about 30 minutes to uncrate and put handles and wheels on. The instructions are pretty good for an imported item (I think it is made in China). It started and ran great from the gitgo. It is quieter than my 5500 watt gen. I initially thought it was putting out 300/150 volts and called the cust serv #. The responded immediately by shipping out another regulator/brush assembly and told me how to put in on even though the user's manual shows how to do it very well. Come to find out it was my VOM that was wrong. My other two (more expensive) VOM's showed 240/120 as claimed. The cust service person sounded domestic and not foreign and was extremely helpful. I ordered this generator after a major power outage in my area. It arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. I realize this is a product built in China and the reputation for China is a little in question but this generator is awesome. Started right up, runs nearly my whole house and so far is as dependable as anything I've purchased. I shopped prior to making this purchase and any other brand, for comparable features was from several hundred dollars more to over double the money. So far I'm not the least bit disappointed. And the shipper was fast and very helpful. All in all a great purchasing experience.

Received Item as promised, great generator, easy to assemble, at 72 I had it ready to rock and roll in about 2 hour. Packaging was above average and with tailgate delivery I never had to touch the unit until after the driver left. Filled with oil and gas, turn on the gas valve and away it went. I back fed my main panel, hit the transfer switch and powered my whole house
with hardly any surge in the generator. Perfect for the backup I wanted. Used 50a 4 wire plug, 4/c #8 cord.

I bought the 10000w pk generator to run a welder, plasma cutter and air compressor, at seperate times of course. I havent had any problems with it although I do only run it when I need to and not all the time. Over all I think it was a great investment.
