Generations makes an excellent "Prestige Cherry Wood 18 Suit Hanger." The number 18 refers to the 18 inch width of the hanger and that's a pretty good size for the suits that I own. These days it's harder and harder to find high quality wooden hangers; manufacturers love making those inexpensive but cheaply made plastic hangers instead. When I found these I was really pleased.
Yes, these hangers are extremely expensive as hangers go--but they are very well constructed and they stand the test of time. Thank goodness I only own three suits or else the price of many more of these hangers would be just too high for me! The wooden hanger stays firm and resilient so that your clothing stays looking its best in your closet before you wear it. The middle silver cross pants bar also does a fine job of holding suit trousers in place; they hang down because the pants bar really does keep the trousers in place.
Unlike wooden hangers I used in the past for my suits, this hanger by Generations has the shoulders much more curved so that they would conform to the natural cut of a suit jacket. That's excellent.
I very highly recommend these dark cherry wooden hangers by Generations and Prestige as some of the better clothing hangers out there. These hangers will cost you more money; but they're always worth every penny you'll spend on them. Wooden hangers protect your suits far better than plastic hangers ever will. These hangers are especially good for winter suits which of course are heavier.
