Timer turned Christmas lights on and off as programed. No need to go out in the cold and turn on lights - most of the time lights would not get turned on if not for a this timer. I did return one timer that did not work when placed on a northern exposure form the house - possible due to the photo sensor. I bought another timer without the photo sensor for this area and it worked fine.
