With this set it's possible to travel worldwide with hair dryers, irons, clothes steamers, and other appliances--from 50 to 1600 watts--manufactured for the U.S. market. The set consists of five adapter plugs for different regions and a converter plug that converts 220/240 voltage common in many countries to the 110 voltage standard in the U.S. The adapters are color-coded and have prongs that plug into wall sockets in these regions: Europe and the Middle East; U.K. (bathroom); Australia, China, New Zealand; and Japan, North and South America. Tools and Hardware Reviews of Proctor-Silex 10082 Foreign Travel Voltage Converter and Adaptor SetCustomer Review: Great Price; No Problems Summary: 5 Stars
I've used a couple of the adaptors, and they fit perfectly. I am glad I bought this set.
I don't know abou the voltage converter, though - I never tried it. But I would recommend that you don't try using it with most things anyways; just make sure your device auto-switches (most fancy electronics do, nowadays), and if it doesn't, but a replacement in whatever town you're traveling to.
