I have used all the industrial sized buffers aboard ships and on shore installations and this little guy packs quite a punch for it's size. After laying laminate flooring in our basement I needed a buffer to strip, clean and polish about 1300 square feet as our upstairs is all carpet, ceramic and hardwoods. I was not disappointed as it got the job done leaving a shine that would have a large buffer job emulating. It wasn't as fast but when you only need it periodically it was well worth the small price tag. It stores very nicely in a closet taking up very little space. I recommend you also get the buffing wheels to put a nice shine to your floor. Why spend $500 when a $100 gets the job done better. It may just take a little longer though.
