I originally bought the long sticks to clean up trash along the road...but I put the sticks in my boat (to clean up along the bank) and found a whole new use.....to grab lures off of trees!The long Pikstik reaches fairly high into a tree...saving you that bad feeling when your reaching with your hand and....twang...your hooked! The grip is strong enough to rip about any lure out of the tree.
Very solid metal construction (shaft) with "industrial" strength grabbing mechanism. More expense that others....but well worth the extra cost due to it's excellent construction.

I bought this so I could fish leaves out of my pond without tramatizing the fish with a net. It's perfect! Nice, long, waterproof. I really like how you can adjust the gap opening: it can open fully or only halfway, and when only halfway it requires much left squeezing of the handle. This makes it very easy and comfortable to pick up lots of little things without your hand getting tired.Customer Review: My friend had back surgery

After back surgery my friend was having trouble picking up and putting down food/water dishes for her pets, so I sent her one of these. She absolutely loves it and says it will also come in handy after she recovers for reaching items on the top shelves of her cupboards. I think he product is great. My hens just started to lay eggs. Sometimes they drop them in places that are hard to get to under the hen house. This grabber is sensative enough not to berak the shells when I use it to get those wayward ones. I think it is worth the cost as copared to others which cost substantially more.Customer Review: First Time User

Pretty good design, pretty good quality components. I haven't had it long enough to comment on its overall durability... however the price almost makes it seem disposable.
Buyer beware though, this particular item is too long for just picking stuff up on the ground. Get the 26 inch version instead.
