I ordered this head lamp as a gag gift for my spouse's birthday due to the ongoing jokes about my usual job being "holder of the flashlight" during home projects. Shortly after the order was placed, I read the reviews, had 2nd thoughts, and became concerned that perhaps we were going to get exactly what we paid for - since this item was so cheap. However, I am happy to report that it exceeded my expectation and it actually gets used, and often!
I also bought the Energizer 7 LED Head Light in case this one failed, (as was reported in other reviews) but we were lucky and he prefers this one. All 9 lights work, they are very bright, and the center head strap is appropriately snug fitting. He has remarked that it is bulky at times but it stays on his head better than the Energizer and definitely has gotten more use during our basement renovation.
I am also happy to say I haven't had to hold a flashlight since!
