I gotta say, I thought long and hard about this purchase. I mean really long, thick and hard.
Thankfully it was the winter when I started this epic internal debate, so I had some time to mill it over. I could not decide if I should get a reasonably priced hose reel, or this over priced monster... but all I can say is that I went with the monster and I have never been happier (my wedding day is a close runner up).
The assembly was a breeze, I completed it in 15mins in my work clothes (business casual).
The reel is super smooth and easy to operate. The wheels are solid and make it very easy to move around, even with a 100ft hose in it. My wife is is like 5ft tall and 100 pounds doesn't have a problem operating this, it doesn't matter if it's reeling in the hose or relocating it to front of the house she accomplishes it faster and easier than ever.
This is amazing well made, all the good things you may have heard about this product is true. Overall it is worth buying this instead of the cheaper ones, because the cheaper ones break, get sun faded, are ugly and eventually you will have to get another. If you just shell out the clams this one time you can have the Cadillac of all garden hose reels.
