I read in bed all the time with this light and I also read to my daughter before bed with it. I am able to keep the room fairly dark, keeping the "bedtime" ambiance going with her, but she can see all the pictures and enjoy the book as we read. Well worth it at the price Amazon is charging. My wife also appreciates it as I am normally up a lot later than her reading. Customer Review: I must have bought about 10 books lights.

Be careful of this product. I got one and it does not work. It is cheaply constructed. I would return it, but it is not worth the effort. I just gave up and threw it away. Others seem to like this product, so I may just have gotten a bad one.
It also took several weeks to arrive after ordering.

After I bought one, I ended up ordering three more for the family for the occasional blackouts and to have for backups. They last much longer than any booklite I've ever used and I've used them all. For this money, buy them buy the dozen!
