Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rayovac Reading Light: Pillow Light (Colors May Vary)Customer Review: You'll love this light more than life itself Summary: 5 Stars
-- well, maybe not, but you'll love this book light at least a little.
I bought one quite a while back (a year or so) and use it constantly. I'm still on the original set of batteries despite nightly use, and the LED lamps are still strong and bright. Best of all, this light keeps the book lighted without all the nonsense of balancing a clip onto pages, which limits one to hardcover books, instead of paperbacks or (eek) magazines.
I get into bed, find a comfy position, and set the pillow light onto my shoulder. The little "high beam" points only at my book, and doesn't disturb the husband in the least. His complaining about my nighttime habit of reading before I sleep has stopped, and I can read as I will. Life is a little simpler and happier because of this silly-looking light.
Customer Review: Great light - finally! Summary: 5 Stars
I've gone through several book lights over the years, and it took me this long to realize that attaching a light to the book doesn't work well.
This light sits on the bed or pillow next to you, is easily adjusted and aimed, and provides a good level of light.
Initially, I agreed with some of the reviewers that the light was too bright, but then I let my eyes adjust, and looked around the room; the rest of the room remained very dark, but my book was nicely lit. It is brighter than other LED book lights, and that is one of the reasons it is better.
Customer Review: Better than ALL the rest! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been through a dozen book lights and this one is, by far, the best one I have ever used! Even better than a bedside table lamp! It's easy to position, the light is nice and bright (although it may take a minute or two to get used to it). The light is also very focused so it shouldn't disturb any other people who might be sleeping beside you. It also seems to be quite sturdy and would be able to withstand falling behind the bed or being dropped on the floor, etc. If you need a reading light for your bed, this should be the one you buy!
Customer Review: Finally a good reading light Summary: 5 Stars
I normally only review books, but I wanted to post something about this reading light.
I read a lot at night, after my husband has gone to sleep, and have tried *all* kinds of reading lights. Usually they are not bright enough, or they are unwieldy. This one isn't perfect, but it's better than any other I have tried. It's weighted so that you can place it almost anywhere (I place it just above my chest on the blanket) , and shine the light anywhere you want on the page.
Definitely recommended.
Customer Review: My favorite book light yet... Summary: 5 Stars
I can't tell you how many book lights I've gone through until I bought this one. They were all either too flimsy, too heavy, not bright enough, etc., etc. This one sits on the pillow and shines on your book. The base is weighted like a bean bag, and shifts to accomodate the surface you've set it on. The light itself can be rotated to hit the book just right. It takes 4 AA batteries, a relief from those book lights that require specialty batteries. I think I've had this one a year now and haven't tired of it yet.
