Tools and Hardware Reviews of Redi Shade 1616204 Original Pleated White Paper Shade 36-by-72-Inch, 6-PackCustomer Review: get some thumbtacks Summary: 5 Stars
worked great. use a sharp utility knife. also best to use thumb tacks on top just in case the adhesive does not hold. Otherwise good product for temporary privacy like a new home, etc.
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
This is a temporary paper shade that looks like real ones. Excellent quality and have no problem installed them.
Customer Review: Pretty good and very easy Summary: 4 Stars
These look pretty nice. Had no problem cutting to width using a utility knife. I used mine in the bathroom and found that the humidity caused them to stretch out almost flat at top. (notice the change in fold density on the product picture) Had to keep trimming off the bottom as they became longer. Also, the wind from a leaky window or moving door will cause them to go flying, so don't plan to mount them on a moving door. These are basically folded heavy paper with a strip of adhesive at the top. There was some problems with mine with the paper at the top few inches being mangled a bit, taking away some from the look. Most people would never notice the blinds are not real. Very easy to put up.
Customer Review: Effective but expensive Summary: 4 Stars
These are surprisingly expensive for a sheet of pleated paper with adhesive on one end, but they're sturdy enough for temporary use and actually look pretty nice, meeting OCD HOA requirements until / unless you get something permanent. We put them up when we moved in so we didn't have to decide right away on a permanent alternative. Read through the sizes and packages offered here carefully and factor pricing into your decision -- your out of pocket total can vary by a factor of 2. These cut reasonably well with scissors, just don't try to do the whole contracted blind at once. They come with an abundance of plastic clothespin-type clips to hold them open if desired.
Customer Review: Great solution Summary: 4 Stars
I ordered these to go behind some sheers in my breakfast room. They were easy to trim and install, even when I had to combine 2 of them for a double window. I used a glue stick to glue the 2 shades together for that window, which works very well. Although they are listed as temporary, they will probably stay now that I have them up.
