The shades look so nice in our bedroom as we wait to get permanent blinds and curtains for our new house. My only complaint is that we did not recieve any instructions on the best way to cut the shades and the first one I cut is a little ragged. Overall, this product is not very good. We bought the fabric version which is substantially better, this paper version is super flimsy. It would be ok for a window that you:
a) don't use much
b) leave the shade always open or always closed... but basically,
It's a pain in the neck to open and close this shade. Our old shades were the $5 kind of plastic horizontal blinds. In about 1 second, I could open the shade. With these, it takes about 15 seconds
On the positive side:
a) it's very bright and lets a lot of light in so you don't need to keep opening it for it to be light in the room, assuming you have good sunlight coming in.
b) it's super inexpensive (this is one of those you-get-what-you-pay-for items)
c) it's extremely easy to install
d) it's actually very sleek and appealing to look at.
If you are going to buy this product, spend the little extra and get the fabric version,

The blinds look nice, and were easy to cut, but they won't stay up! After I put them up, they fell back down within a couple of hours, and haven't stayed up since. I've tried to tape them, but obviously tape isn't strong enough to hold up these shades. I'm considering trying duct tape, just so that I can get some usability out of them. I mean, all I wanted them for was decoration. I never planned on touching or moving them in my life.
On the pro side though, they arrived very quickly under free shipping.
