Customer Review: Basic press, fills all needs. Summary: 4 Stars
I used a different more expensive beautiful wood veneer pant press for 15 years a while back. So knowing what I know, this time I bought the basic plain grey press. It is as I expected, just as good as the high priced models that I used long ago. If you have a beautiful wood bedroom furniture, then you need to upgrade to a pretty natural wood veneer model for more money.
Here is a twist you may be interested in. Since I use the press every day, it occupies a good size foot print on the floor. It's a nusance, in the way all the time, but what can you do? I mounted this new one on the wall behind my bedroom door, out of sight and takes up virtually no floor space. The drawback is that you have to remove the cuff link tray, trash it, and the back electrical panel cover and drill 4 holes to mount it, bend a lever, etc. So I did all that, and I am happy, but I do have wires exposed, although, they are recessed behind the unit.
Please market a wall unit so everyone, everyone can put them where they belong,,,behind the bedroom door, on the wall.
Customer Review: Good Product Summary: 4 Stars
The presser is self efficent and easy to use. It comes out of the box practically assembled and only the legs have to be screwed on. Used it for the first time and after about 15 minutes my pants were ready. The were crisp and had a great crease.
Customer Review: Mostly good Summary: 3 Stars
Everything went great with the delivery. The price is great as well. The unit is good quality, but the interior is a soft velvety material which,at first, looked fine. But I find this creates enough of a sticking sensation that it is hard to stretch the pants in a way to avoid having the sides a bit wrinkly. The crease is always great, but the sides of the pant leg can be less than perfect. This seems to assuage with the actual wearing of the pant. This problem is more pronounced with materials that are less smooth such as brushed cotton(which all of my chinos are made of) and twill. Smoother and thinner materials such as gabardine or even worsted wool work better in this machine.
