Emits an extra-loud 105dB alarm when water rises to dangerous levels in sump crock or is detected on floor. Includes 60in. wire sensor which can be suspended in sump crock or attached to floor, bathtub or toilet tank. Battery operated. For maximum versatility, the kit includes a weighted probe tip that can optionally be suspended at any level to detect rising water. The sensor tip features a suction cup mount that can be affixed to any hard, non-porous surface, such as a toilet tank, bathtub, or tile floor. Designed to protect your investments, as soon as water is detected an extra loud 105-decibel alarm sounds. The alarm includes all necessary wall mounting hardware, and a 9-volt battery is required for operation (battery not included). The alarm comes backed with a 1-year limited manufacture's warranty.

Customer Review: Great alarm for laundry room sink

Our laundry room utility sink where the washing machine drains sometimes gets blocked and floods - always from something goofy, like the baby's sock drains out of the washer and plugs the sink. I bought this alarm on a lark and set it on the soap holder, with the sensor hanging about 6 inches down into the sink. I was worried about false alarms from the splashing of the water, but no problems at all, and we do sometime use the sink for things. There the alarm sat for 6 months. Then one night a couple weeks ago, we heard very loud classical music - we were in the other end of the house, probably 50 feet away, and it kind of freaked us out. I had no idea what it was but followed the music and found the sink with water about 2 inches from the top. I got it unplugged (stuffing from a pillow that was in the washer...) and not a drop was spilled. It was so loud that it woke up our 4 year old, who loved the music. He asked us to play it again.
