Fortunately I haven't seen these work in a real life situation. I did test them before installing one by my hot water heater and one by the sump pump. They worked as advertised.

Installed sump alarm and it works as described. Our sump crock does have a cover on it and no false alarms. Very loud when activated. Cheap price for the peace of mind.
