we purchased these 'wall stickers' for our son's room. he is 3, and his room walls are painted a deep grass green. i was concerned that these wall stickers might 'wash out' on such a dark wall color, but they don't. we sat down at bedtime last night and opened the package. just as described, there were 4 sheets of slightly retro vehicle wall stickers, average size of the stickers was the size of my hand, if I remember right.
as our son chose a sticker, we peeled it off and gave it to him, and he slapped it on the wall and smoothed it out... he was able to reposition them very easily. soon he will realize he can reposition them at will, and since they leave no residue that will be fine. great way for our son to feel that he is decorating his room himself. plus I wanted to try wall stickers in general before I try having a couple of photos made into wall stickers (like one where our son looking like he's the operator of an excavator).
when we were done, our son turned to us and asked us to order him some 'boat wall stickers'. I would not hesitate to order these again. they're a great value, and terrific quality. and I'm a very picky person!

The RoomMates Decals are the easiest to use. I had pine wood Toy Boxes made for my two grandsons -- ages 1 and 3 years old. They were painted light blue to match their room furniture. I wanted to personalize them so I bought the Transportation Decals for the 3 year old because he loves cars and trains! I had planned on painting them on with stencils but this was so easy to use which saved time and money from buying all the paints and stencils! The toy box was a BIG hit. Within minutes of unveiling it at Christmas he ran and got his toy cars and teddy bear and threw them into the box as well as himself. Afterwards, we looked at each Decal and he called out what each vehicle was. He was really excited because it personalized the Toy Box for him. I highly recommend these decal because if you make a mistake or want to move it, you just pick it up and place it another place.Customer Review: You will LOVE these...maybe more than your kids will!

I painted a simple mural with sky and gently rolling hills and then applied these decals. I'd add a picture but can't figure out how to do so. They're so awesome because...
1. they are EASY to apply
2. they do not require special tools to apply or remove
3. they can be repositioned multiple times - great for a perfectionist
4. they really do peel off without leaving any residue
5. they are colorful but muted - great for those who want to avoid harsh primary colors
6. they add so much color to your walls - you won't have to buy many different colors of paint
7. they're more detailed than any stencil you could use
8. they offer a lot of variety
9. they make your child's room look like you made a serious effort
10. they are the ultimate accessory for plain walls especially if you don't want to paint

I have had these decals in my son's bedroom for about a month. I placed them on the walls in a straight line like a wall border. I left about a foot of space in between the decals and I had enough to cover the entire room (I didn't put them on the window or closet door). My son's room is 10 x 12. If your child's room is larger, you many want to purchase 2 sets. The first day I placed them on the wall, I peeled them off several times until I figured out how I wanted to arrange them. I was worried that I was wearing out the sticky side, but I have not had any problems with the decals coming off or requiring reinforcement...at least not yet. They make my son's room look so cute without much effort or cost. These stickers are awesome. They are much better than the picture. I placed 26 at random along my chair rail in my 2 1/2 yr old's room. I need one more set to complete it since the room is 15 x 17. I will be ordering the peel & stick border to put at the top below the crown molding. They work just like they said. You can place and take off as many times as you like to reposition or totally relocate. This set matches well with the Pem America Trucks at Work Quilt Set which is also much prettier and brighter than the picture. I recommend RoomMates for Kids 100%.
