Tired of trying to install spindles with the self tapping bolts? This is a newly released replacement for the 130794 spindle assembly that comes with 3 mounting bolts and the mounting holes are tapped. The FSP and replacements have previously been untapped and difficult to install without an impact wrench. Even with an impact wrench installing was sometimes difficult, bolts would break. This new design has fixed that problem. Imporant! Be sure to install the spacer under the pulley (between the pulley and top bearing). Customer Review: A superior spindle!

I purchased two of these new style spindles for my 42" mower deck, because the old spindles had some play and made a lot of noise. The new spindles run very quiet, and the mower deck can barely be heard above the usual engine noise. This new design has pre-tapped holes and uses lock washers to keep it tight. This makes installation easier. It took me less than 2 hours to remove the deck, replace both spindles, and re-install the deck. An impact wrench made the job much easier, because the old self-tapping bolts were on so tight that one broke while I was removing it; it also made removing the pulleys very easy. The new spindles appear to have a heavier construction, but I forgot to weigh them before I installed them so I could compare them with the originals. Should these ever need replacing, I'll definitely order this improved design. A word of caution....it's important to read the small installation note included in each box. The spindle is shipped with a pulley washer that should ONLY be used on the left spindle on two-spindle decks, NOT the right.
