Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rowenta DZ5080 Focus Stainless-Steel 1700-Watt IronCustomer Review: Love it-- couple of cons, though Summary: 5 Stars
I do love this iron. It has made clothing that I had thought hopeless look like new again. The steam is ample & the narrow point at the front makes getting into tight places easy.
As for cons:
I wish that there was an effective way to wind the cord for storage. My old iron actually had an interior cord storage feature.
It would also be nice if there were an on/off button.
Still, I'm more than willing to put up with these little annoyances to have an iron that always gets the job done! A superior iron, especially for the price.
Customer Review: Great Iron! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading tons of reviews, I finally decided to order the Rowenta DZ5080, and I love it!! Several reviewers complained about water leakage and weight. I have not had any problems with water leaking, and the weight seems just right to me. I love the sturdiness and quality of the materials and its ability to get out even the toughest wrinkles. I also love the pointy tip as I do a lot of quilting and it allows me to get into folds and seams. This iron gets hot and has enough steam to get the job done- it's totally worth the money. I am so glad I made this purchase.
Customer Review: Great iron! Summary: 5 Stars
My wife had a Rowenta iron many moons ago and really liked it. Somehow, it got damdaged and in the interim years she has tried many other brands and was mildly happy with their performance. What she really wanted was an iron that delivers tons of steam. This iron more than fills that requirement! She also likes the pointed front end which allows the iron to go into tight spaces. While this iron may be a bit pricier than other brands, it has good quality and is well designed. Definitely a must have for anyone who irons but wants to make short work of it....
Customer Review: Gets the job done. Summary: 5 Stars
I just got this iron and have used it for one day, but already know it was a good choice, after major shopping and comparisons. I don't much like ironing, but like ironed clothes, pillow cases, etc. This Rowenta DZ5080 does an excellent job, producing major steam with no spitting. It's fairly heavy, but I think this helps with the ironing, and I don't have to press down as much, because it carries its own weight. This is a big issue for me, with long-term tendinitis. So far, so good. Everything about it seems to be very high quality.
Customer Review: Most wonderful iron I've ever owned!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great iron for blocking my knitted items. The amount of steam it produces eliminates the need to touch with the iron whatever I am blocking. It's remarkable for pressing while quilting or dressmaking. It has a recessed area that allows you to press around buttons. It is phenomenal for pressing linen items. I never iron my bedding but this iron made it a snap. My lace edged sheets and pillow cases are gorgeous. Best of all, my youngest daughter loves to iron with this Rowenta. That makes it worth it's weight in gold.
