This is a great iron. I have probably bought 5 irons in the past 12 years and have never been happy with any of them. I've bought cheap ones and I've bought expensive ones. Before, I bought this one, I did I lot of research and this was the one every body was happy with. I can see why. It irons like a dream. One swipe and you are done. You don't have to go back over the same area again and again. One little con; its heavy. I usually don't iron for hours at a time but if I had to, I know this iron would become heavier and heavier. This iron is a technological marvel. I have just had it for a few days and I have ironed some very difficult, over 100 year, heirloom open-embroidered linen. It was a breeze and the results were truly professional. The controlls are easy to use, the steam settings excellent. It just glides over those diffucult spots. It may be a little pricey, but it is worth every penny.
This is an ideal tool for anyone who sews on home fabrics. The upright steam feature is a plus. I was concerned about the weight, but the iron glides so effortlesly that you do not notice the weight.

I got tired of buying cheap irons at the big name discount stores because they became defective in 1 or 2 years being manufactured with inferior materials. This iron is manufactured with quality components and has the feel of quality. The best thing about this iron is that it has the weight and temperature control capable of cutting my ironing time in HALF! I did not count on it being able to iron clothes so much quicker, I highly recommend this iron. I have only had it for 1 month but expect it will last much longer than previous irons i've owned. I love this iron. At first I was not certain that I would because it was so much heavier than the iron that I had previously. But, I had purchased it on purpose because it was the only iron with 1800 watts and numerous steam vents. It really gets HOT and the steam works very well. I am glad that I got it. The titanium sole plate so far does not seem to be sticking to anything. I have yet to purchase some iron cleaner, and also have not used this iron for any fusibles. I am saving my older, cheaper iron for such projects. I quilt and this is perfect.Customer Review: Best iron ever!

My wife thinks this is by far the best iron she has ever used. She said it almost makes ironing fun now, believe it or not, and it cuts the ironing time roughly in half. It makes clothes appear to have come from a dry cleaner, with sharp, neat creases. It glides effortlessly over any fabric she's tried so far. It even does a good job steaming stuff to quickly take out wrinkles before she goes to work in the morning. I thought it was a bit expensive when I first bought it, but apparently you get what you pay for in this instance.
