Excellent product, the only draw back is that it is heavy.
The iron does get very hot and irons wonderfully. I just hope it doesnt start to leak. This is my 6th Rowenta iron that I have purchased over the
past 12 years. I have bought other irons and have always returned to the
Rowenta because of quality of the iron. None of the other irons can get
as hot as the rowenta. I also think that the burst of steam is excellent.

My wife was looking for a steam Iron that produces a lot of steam to ease pressing shirts.
She is extremely satisfied with the Rowenta DZ9080 Advancer Iron. Everything about it is nice: large and steady flow of steam, regulating the heat, safety when not in use...
The only little problem...because of its strange shape, it is very difficult to store it, hanging on a support close to the ironing table as we did with our previous iron.

I have been ironing for 30 years and I have never had such a wonderful iron. It has so many steam holes and presses like a professional dry cleaners. The tip of the iron is especially nicely designed. It fits so well between button and makes ironing gathered or smocked items a breeze. It's a little heavy at first, but you get use to it. I would never own another iron again. This one is for me! My husband loves it too. (yep, he irons)Customer Review: Household products

I had researched the product because of a friend. She purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond and paid $30.00 more than from Amazon.com.
Because of the cost, the iron qualified for the free shipping. It irons like a dream. One thing to note is that it is heavier than your normal iron but it has a lot more steam vents. Due to the weight and amount of steam most times it is only necessary to go over the item once.

I have always had Bernina irons and been very happy with them until my last one died. I am a quilter, so was very leery about getting an iron. I chose the DZ9080 and absolutely love it. It steams like crazy when you need it, and I especially love the fact that it will turn itself off when not in use for a certain length of time. I highly recommend this iron to anyone, but especially quilters!
