This thing is great. It removes dust from around even small objects without moving them, such as coins, pens, and so on. I don't know if it's a substitute for popping the keys off a board to clean it, but it did seem to help get some of the dirt out, and the keyboard (I unplugged it while cleaning) worked fine afterwards.
