Customer Review: Just what I wanted

I found this magnifying visor to be an excellent value overall. Not high line type of build yet not cheap either. The headband-adjusting knob (plastic) has a solid feel and uses a small metal screw for disassembly. Pivot points are plastic with metal friction washers. Plastic lens are clear and relatively distortion free. Cushion for forehead is spongy foam plastic with self-sticking backing. This cushion could be readily replaced from time to time with stuff available from a 99-cent store. A reasonably solid product at a low weight.
I'm near sighted and would say my sight is fair with familiar surroundings, I don't wear my glasses for many chores around the home or other similar areas. Nor do I need glasses for reading. This magnifying visor is said to have a magnification of 2.5X at about 8". In my case I feel, without my glasses, the magnification is 5X at 4". Overall works out very well for me.
