Customer Review: My Favorite Mop for years and years!!

Since I have 6 kids, I know a thing or two about dirty floors and needing an efficient way to clean them. This mop has been my favorite since the first time I used it almost 15 years ago. That was after using string mops, sponge mops, etc. for 20 years previously. With Sh-Mop, you simply start with a clean cover that you wet and wring (takes 10 seconds). I keep my Lysol cleaner in a spray bottle that has both a spray or stream setting on the nozzle- standard cleaning spray bottle. Then I stream the cleaner onto a patch of floor (like 1/4th of my kitchen) and go over it. Move to next patch, etc. If the cover looks pretty soiled then just remove it and turn it inside out and work on the other side. When that side is dirty too, then slip it off. I usually slip on on a clean one at the end and go over the floor with clear water. They machine wash great and last for years- saves money over buying disposable covers for those look alikes at the grocery store(which came out after Sh-Mop...) If I am doing my whole downstairs sometimes it can take 3-4 covers before I am done (4 boys). I have about a dozen so I am never caught without clean ones. PLUS the job goes really fast since the surface area is so large. No wringing! No streaking like sponge mops. No spilled mop water from someone bumping the bucket!
Bottom line: If you want a cleaner, faster, easier, cheaper way to clean your floors, try Sh-Mop!
(And no, nobody in my family works for Sh-Mop!)

I agree with the other 5-star reviewers. I received my Sh-Mop and extra covers this past week and am very pleased with the results. This is WAY better than a Swiffer - cleans much better and faster and is economical with the washable covers. I do recommend ordering several extra covers. I've got two dogs that track in a lot of dirt, and I use five covers (both sides; when one side is dirty, I turn it inside out) for the living room, kitchen, entryway and hallway. And that is after vacuuming up the loose dirt. The Swiffer never picked up that much. I'd say it does as good a job as the old-fashioned hands-knees-scrub bucket, without the aches, pains and carting a bucket around. I'm getting one of these for my mom and have recommended it to other familiy and friends.
As an aside, I'd also recommend one of the BonaKemi cleaners for use with the Sh-Mop. They make one for hardwood floors and one for hard surface floors. Their cleaners are non-toxic and do a very good job.
UPDATE: I ordered a SH-Mop for my mom, and she loves it. One of my sisters was over at my mom's house while she was using it, was very impressed, and has ordered one for herself and another for my other sister. I can't say we're "loving" to mop (although my mom probably is), but as close as you can come to it.

This is the absolute best mop I have ever used. I am a career cleaning person. I clean houses for a living, because I LOVE doing it. The greatest thing about this mop is the changeable terry covers for the mop head. I buy a bunch of them, then when I mop, every time I go over a section of the floor, I just flip the cover over to have a clean surface on the other side, then I change to a clean cover when that one gets dirty. That way, I am never using a mop that has been repeatedly rinsed out in a bucketfull of dirty water. Always a clean, fresh mopping surface. Then I throw them all into the washing machine to have them ready for the next day's work.
I always felt that the absolute best way to get a floor its cleanest was to get down on my hands and knees and wash and dry it with terry towels. But that can be very impractical, obviously. With the sh-mop, I can duplicate that cleaning procedure with the ease and speed of a wet mop.
Rag mops, sponge mops, yarn mops, those disposable mops, THROW THEM OUT! Get yourself one of these sh-mops, along with some extra covers, and you too will discover the JOYS of mopping, along with a truly CLEAN floor!

Where, oh where has this thing been all my life? Mopping is my #1 most hated chore, until now. It became absolutely torturous when we moved into a 1600 sq ft base house that is ALL TILE! Yep, every freakin' room! I tried using the professional yarn mops, but they are impossible to clean. If you wash them by hand, they aren't clean enough. If I threw it in the washer, it would turn into string, even on the delicate cycle. With such a large area, a sponge mop or swiffer-type would be almost useless. I found the reviews here for the sh-mop and decided to give it a try. It took about 1/5th of the time my other mop used to! These floors have never been so clean! The floors ARE cleaner since you are always using a clean cover instead of a nasty rag or sponge that never really comes clean. I am definitely buying more covers, three just isn't enough for my house. If you are looking for ways to cut your cleaning time, this baby will absolutely do that. I got mine on ebay for pretty cheap which included the mop and three covers. A huge bonus is that with the washable covers, this is a much more "green" alternative to disposable mopping pads. I had a mop similar to this that I got at walmart,and used for several years.The base was made out of sponge material and recently fell apart.My local store quit selling them,of which I am now glad about.The mop I got here works great,as did my old mop--but this one is made far better.I have only had it a week,but I can tell by how well it it is made that it will last a long time.
It does work very well on all type floors,because of it's size,it does not fit around the back of a toilet.To me that is the only con.The cover can be washed out by hand or in the washer.If doing in the washer,don't use fabric softner in the machine,as it will transfer to the mop cover--this cancause a film on hard wood floors when using.
The shipping of the mop was quick and the transactions were easy.
Yes,I would buy again from this dealer.
