We first bought these to use with our older tub walls. Because they could be cut to match the wall (which aren't flat at the bottom), they provided a solution to prevent water from getting on the floor. They worked well and look very nice.
Recently, we had these old tub walls replaced and the new surround did not cover the tub as the older surround did (leaving some ugly spots). Since the walls are now flat, I ordered a new set of splash guards. These Guards are also wider at the bottom since one side is curved out. This was enough to cover our problem.
In addition to keeping the floor dry, we were able to cover up the unslightly mess left after making improvements. Easily installed with silicone calking.
