Customer Review: Great little knife

First, the small blade seems too small, until you start to use it every day. As a work knife used to open anything from boxes to plastic packaging on a daily basis, it is perfect. The blade is just the right length to be useful, w/o having to worry as much about puncturing something important. The shape of the handle lends itself to proper wrist alignment for tireless cutting for extended periods of time. The construction is SOLID. The Lock up is strong and trustworthy. The weight is substantial enough to remember you have a knife in your hand, yet light enough to use all day. The blade steel is high quality VG-10, which holds a respectable edge with minimum re-sharpening. Highly recommend as a daily use carry knife.
Now the fun part. It is IDEAL when in the closed position to be fully enclosed in the fist for self defense situations. This serves two purposes: 1. concealment 2. weighting the fist. Any advantage is good in a pinch, so use this little wonder's size as means to surprise an unsuspecting thug. With the knife still closed and a small amount of steel protruding from the fist, it becomes a nice little blunt impact tool for those situations when less than lethal force becomes necessary. Once the blade is deployed, the handle makes close, deceptive cuts easy to achieve. Open handed techniques are easily adapted to this knife, making even an untrained knife user capable of holding their own. Highly recommend in situations where a short blade is preferred. I use mine in my training regimen as an off-hand knife to compliment my larger main knife, a role it excels at for my style. Buy it.
