Customer Review: Sturdy closet - holds a teenage girl's entire wardrobe

My daughter's room has no closet and due to it's size would seem claustrophobic if we built one. Over the last year, we've purchased 2 different portable closets for her clothes - the first one was very wobbly and kept tipping over and the 2nd one collapsed and broke due to the weight of her clothes. I was apprehensive about purchasing another closet that wouldn't last more than a couple months and couldn't afford to spend alot of money. So I did alot of research before I found this one. The reviews were mostly positive and it seemed to have sturdy construction (chrome plated steel), plus it was on sale at an excellent price which fit within my budget. So I swallowed my misgivings and ordered it.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy once assembled. I had some concerns because of the plastic parts (wheels, joints and shelf supports), though the main parts are metal. So far it has held up well despite being overstuffed with my teenage daughter's entire wardrobe (clothes, shoes, purses, etc), plus our cats snoozing wherever they can find a cozy spot. With all that weight and the movement of the cats, it hasn't leaned, wobbled or otherwise moved. I'm very impressed. The only downside is that the bars are too short for most longer items (jackets, skirts, dresses) which end up hanging over the side. But that's the only drawback we've noted in the 2 months we've had it. So I highly recommend this to anyone needing extra closet space.

I recently purchased a commercial grade garment rack for hanging clothes, but now needed additional drawer/storage for folded clothes. This is a really nice quality item, that can definitely help add to your shelf space. I was a bit overwhelmed when I opened the box and saw what looked like a 100 pieces,but fortunately my panic was unecessary. The instructions are clear and it really was very straightforward to put together.
I am someone who is usually very challenged in the assembly department.
One suggestion is, make sure you assemble in the room where its going to live..reason being is that its quite tall and once assembled I had a hard time getting it up the stairs and through a doorway (not one of my brighter moves!). All in all a great purchase. There are 2 clothing rails which you can use for blouses/shirts - but be aware that this rules out using the shelf space directly underneath, because the rail is only just high enough to accommodate the hanging items.
The cover is a nice add on that finishes things off.

This was bought for my sister who lives in a nursing home. She had previously obtained a similar style unit from Target for $70, but that unit was mostly plastic. In short order the plastic pieces split and within a matter of months, the whole closet collapsed and was thrown in the trash. This unit was $39 more, but is all metal. It is the best closet solution we could find on the market. It is very sturdy, has lots of storage space and options with the rods and shelves, is on wheels and has a cover to keep everything clean. She is very happy and this is much nicer and less expensive then trying to design your own freestanding unit with parts from an organizing store. Trust me, DO NOT BUY A PLASTIC UNIT, this unit is the best. My only negative comment would be that the cover is grey, it would be nice to have other colors since I'm sure most uses are to be in a room.Customer Review: Great Organizer

I purchased two of these organizers: one is being used for kitchen organization and the other for off season clothing in the basement. The kitchen one holds our microwave, trash cans and the half shelf is great for cookbooks. I put the cover on the basement one and it was super easy to do even by myself. These organizers are a good size, not too big, not too small and the double hanging rods are great. Construction was really simple and the shelves can be set to any height you want, not just the height in the picture. The organizer comes with wheels or immobile base posts if you don't want to move the unit. I used the wheels on the basement one and the fixed posts for the kitchen. This is a great product, very sturdy, nice looking and holds a lot of clothes. I especially like that it has 2 rods for hanging clothes. It works for most shirts, blouses, skirts, and pants (if folded over a hanger). I only wish the manufacturer had made it 2 or 3 inches taller, because the longer jackets are just a tad too long to hang totally free. But that is a minor flaw. I've considered taking the shelves out and putting another rod in the shelving side to hold longer things; but the shelves are so handy. I've got shoe boxes and plastic storage boxes with drawers on the shelving side now. They fit perfectly. I also love that it is on wheels and moves easily to clean under and behind.
