Tools and Hardware Reviews of Shake Away 9001020 20oz Rodent Repellant Granules

Customer Review: Shake Away Rodent Repellant Granules
Summary: 5 Stars

For the past 10 months, I have had rodents invade my car's engine, twice chewing harness wires in different areas of the vehicle's engine and nest building on the battery. I tried everything. I then bought Shake Away Rodent Repellant Granules and sprinkled them around the perimeter of the car. I also put two bowls filled with the granules on the ground, directly under the engine. So far, no rodents chewing wires and no nest building for the past three weeks (prior, nest building was being done almost every day). I just hope the buggers don't get used to these granules, but right now, I highly recommmend this product if you are having problems with the rodents chewing your car's wires. Follow the directions carefully. Directions say it may take up to 2 wks. to take effect, but it worked for me after having the stuff on the ground for only two days.

Customer Review: Works for me!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the 20 oz Shake Away Small Critter Repellent directly from the manufacturer. It came quickly and to my pleasant surprise, worked as advertised.
I have a small front yard that was alive with moles. The entire area was full of tunnels and each morning there were more.I tried the electronic things with no effect.

I was very skeptical about Shake Away but had no other viable alternative. I followed directions and sprinkled lightly around the perimeter. Since I was going away in 10 days and would not be home for a week, I applied it three times the first week.
When I returned from my trip, there were no moles. I just applied it again, as part of the twice a month maintenance.
I don't understand why it works for some and not for others, but it did work for me.

Customer Review: Works for urban mice
Summary: 5 Stars

After being frustrated in trying to get rid of an occasional grey mice problem in an urban environment in the Boston area, I wanted to add my strong support for this product. After nightly mice visits, attempts at deadly bait, traps (six kinds from the old wooden traps, to D-Con, Snap-E and Havahart), electronic repellers, sticky pads, and three months of a paid exterminator etc. this is the first thing that actually WORKED.

I took some plastic lids, put a half a cup or so of these granules on them, and slid it under the fridge and dishwasher. I have seen no mice since, nor is there evidence of any. I cannot smell the granules. Out of the $400 or so I've spent on the problem, this was easily the best $10. Worth a try if you're not finding success with the other methods.

Customer Review: Still Waiting...No Show
Summary: 5 Stars

Had little field mice enter inside finished apartment in basement. Sonar didnt work. Traps worked for 1. I put down these Granules 4 weeks ago and we have not seen any since! I havent done any additional blocking of holes after placing Granules down so I have to assume they work for now. Directions say replace granules on paper plate every 2 weeks. I havent yet. I shook a little in corners and left a small plate full near couch where mouse was going to. I also used it around the perimeters inside the unfinished basement and garage also. Have not used it outside yet. I figure let them escape first. This weekend I'll put some outside. No firewood near house next year!

Customer Review: Trailer Mice Are Gone!
Summary: 5 Stars

If you own a mobile home and have mice, you have to try this product. It really worked for me. Two winters ago they got through the bottom barrier(belly board) and were keeping us awake all night long chewing on the wood underneath the flooring. We tried trapping them but once the snow got too deep it was almost impossible to get the traps underneath the trailer. Last Fall, I bought the Shake Away Rodent Repellent. I sprinkled it around the perimeter of the trailer and filled stockings with the granules and threw them underneath. We haven't had ANY mice since then. I intend to use the granules again this year to make sure they stay away!
