This waterproof pad was a tight fit on our mattress. The depth was great, but the surface was a little small, but it was workable. We've been using it for the past month (in August) and haven't felt hot and it's not too loud. It's actually quite comfy. We haven't experienced any spills yet, so we can't attest to the waterproof-ness, but when I had it in the washing machine, it did pool a lot of water.Customer Review: Best pad I have found so far

This pad goes on easily and stays in place. There is no plastic feel or noise. It is soft and comfortable. And it protects the mattress from accidents that take place on top of the bed. My only warning is that it is not designed to protect the sides of the mattress (for instance, when my kid hugs the edge of the bed by the wall and has an accident), but few if any are designed to protect the sides.
