Using it to control a box fan and it works fine-- not using it from a long distance away so cannot attest to its range but it works every time from a 15 foot distance. Being a wheelchair user I try to make life easier when I can. This wireless remote control with included battery works like a charm. It even works from inside my house to operate a fan located outside.
I'll probably order another for other similar uses!
