Customer Review: No More Backpain!!!

I am a chronic back pain sufferer, and have had a very hard time finding comfortable mattresses in the past. Every morning, I would wake up with lower back pain and shoulder and neck tightness. After doing some research online, the consensus seemed to be that a memory foam mattress would offer some relief. I went to several mattress stores, but the memory foam mattresses that had a thick enough layer of memory foam were out of my price-range. When I started to explore the option of a mattress topper, I checked on amazon first, and based on the reviews and the affordable price, I decided to go with the Sleep Studio 3-Inch ViscO@ Ventilated Memory Foam Topper.
The main reasons for choosing this mattress was that I wanted a 3" topper - many toppers only come with 2 inches, or if they are thicker, part of the thickness is regular foam. Other toppers were made of memory foam, but were highly textured so that the thinnest parts were only 1", and since my futon is pretty firm, I didn't want to take a chance. Also, unlike a lot of other toppers in the $100 price range, which only have a 2 lb. density rating, the Sleep Studio 3-Inch ViscoO2 came with a 3 lb. density rating. I also liked the fact that it uses plant-based materials, and that it had ventilation holes, since I have heard from multiple sides that one downside of memory foam mattresses is that they keep heat and it can get too warm sleeping on them.
I have not regretted this purchase. As usual, Amazon delivered very quickly (I have amazon prime) and for free. The item arrived in perfect condition, professionally packaged without any tears or rips. When I unpacked the mattress, I was prepared for the "foamy smell" I had read about in so many other mattress topper reviews. Well, it wasn't there, the mattress topper was completely smell-free. When I put it on the bed (it came squeezed into a large ball), it only took 2 or 3 minutes for the mattress to completely fold out. The size fits perfectly onto my full-size futon, and it didn't add too much height, so the sheets still fit beautifully.
After sleeping on the mattress for the second night now, my back pain is completely gone. I don't think I have ever slept in a bed this comfortable, it is like sleeping on a cloud. Usually in the mornings, I couldn't wait to get up and move so my back and neck would loosen up, now I don't want to get out of bed because it is so comfortable. Even my cats refuse to leave the bed, they immediately moved from under the bed to the top of the bed. My son's mattress is quite old and we were thinking about buy a replacement, but I may just buy another one of these mattress toppers and give his old mattress an inexpensive, high-quality face-lift! I highly recommend this product.

I just bought another memory foam mattress topper, this time in twin size for my son's bed. This one is on top of a very old spring mattress, which is even more comfortable than my memory foam topper on top of a futon.
