I purchased a Smart Strip and hooked up my computer and peripherals. I had to adjust the side screw to get everything to turn off, but it was very easy. I liked it so well that I bought a second Smart Strip to use with my TV. I highly recommend this product. I know the Smart Strips are saving money because nearly all of the devices that were on 24/7 are now only on when the computer and tv are on.Customer Review: Just what I needed.

Our TV in the bedroom has a sleep timer but our stereo and DVD Player do not. We like to go to sleep watching / listening to Science and Nature DVDs, but we really couldn't because the DVD menu / sound would play until we turned them off.
Problem solved. Worked great right out of the box without any hassle. We plan to buy another for the living room home theater set up.

I purchased 3 of these. I use one with a TV/gaming system, two with a computer systems. All three of them work great. I plugged the computer into the master plug and all of the periferals into the controlled switches. Now when I shut down the computer the monitor, printer, external DVD, speakers and external hard drive all shut down on their own. I love that.Customer Review: Works great with PC

After adjusting the sensitive down, it controlled my 2 LCD monitors, speaker system, and external hard drive.
It works fine when the PC is put into hiberation or standby modes.
I definately recommend this device.

I have three of them in my home, one for the av center and two others for my computers. It works great, even when computer goes in and out of sleep mode. they say you can save 130 dollars a year just by installing one of these (probably an exaggeration) but think of the joy you may get by reducing that ever growing concern the carbon footprint!!
