I have two installed. One at the computer and a second running off the tv. Both have worked just as advertised, set-up took seconds.
Layout is nice and unit feels well constructed. Very pleased with the purchase and would recommend to anyone with game systems, home theaters, Sat/cable boxes that only need to be powered when watching the screen.... (Also has unswitched outlets for DVRs and handheld device chargers etc...)

The Smart Strip is easy to use and has performed exactly as it is supposed to. The extra space for plugs with odd sizes and shapes is helpful. I don't know if it will pay for itself through energy savings in weeks as was advertised, but it definitely functions well and I'm sure the energy savings will add up over time. A good buy for anyone with lots of peripherals associated with their computer or home entertainment system.Customer Review: Awesome power strip!

I bought this to go in my game room. I have a lot of electronics in the living room which don't need to be on 24/7 if they're not being used. My dad bought a green power strip made by Monster over the summer but after researching the price, it wasn't worth it. After finding the Smart Strip for about half that of Monster, I figured I'd give it a shot. I bought this model and the SCG5 for my game room. They work GREAT!!!Customer Review: Works great

I use this for my PC, router, and modem setup. There's generous spacing on 2 of the 10 outlets so you can get the arrangement you need pretty easily. However, I used this along with a Kill-a-watt and found that my setup really wasn't the energy hog I thought it would be. It will probably take a while to recoup the cost. Still, the convenience of not having to remember to turn off all my peripherals is still pretty nice.Customer Review: Works as Advertised

I use this Smart Strip to power down my speakers and 3 attached network drives when my PC goes into standby mode. Works perfectly, but it did require me to adjust the dial on the side the first time (which is common if your master outlet still generates some amount of power - it is easy to adjust). After that, it has worked like a charm. Should pay for itself in a few months.
