Works perfect right out of the box. Simple as that. I bought two. One is on my computer system and the other is on my TV stereo. Common since says that I will eventually save some money on energy cost. I have cable and elected to turn off my cable box also. When I turn on the TV I have to wait a couple minutes for the guide program info to come on but no big deal.Customer Review: My Smart Strip

I wanted a protective power strip for my new LED TV. When I saw that the Smart Strip also provided an energy saving feature I knew that I wanted to have one for my application. I have not noticed any savings in power costs, however I only use this one and I haven't had it that long. Smart strip is a smart idea. No more phantom stealing of power. When you power down the tv which is the main
component of this setup, everything powers off as well including my strip lights and all the peripherals. I'm very happy with this purchase, I'm going to buy more for my other setups. Great price on Amazon with free shipping.

Works exactly as described. When I turn off the TV, the sound system, DVD player, etc. all go off as well. I have the satellite box plugged into one of the "always on" outlets so that I don't have to wait for it to come up again. When I left for a couple of weeks at Christmas time, I simply hit the master switch and turned everything off.Customer Review: Amazing thing :)

Bought in attempt to automate turn on/off of an old power amplifier.
Now when I switch main audio receiver via remote control the amplifier comes up as well. Every time, very reliable. Power handlig isvery good as well. Devices consume 1600 watt combine at full power. The strip is handling that just fine.
Highly recommended.
