It works. My 10 year old loves it. The only possible safety issue is that it keeps sewing and does not stop when button is pressed. I would not recommend for children younger than 10 for safety reasons.Customer Review: Great Sewing Machine - Hands Down!!

I have had portable and handheld sewing machines in the past, even as long ago as the early 1980. This sewing machine is way hardier and user friendly!! I love it!! I recommend it to everyone!!
