Customer Review: WITH CHILLOW I WAKE UP COOL & RESTED

NEVER, EVER, BUY A VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE FOAM MATRESS ( initials T-P ). I had been suffering, & tossin'& turnin', & sweatin' like an oldie after just a few nights on my new "sweat-o-pedic". I tried everything I could think of...cold showers at midnight, ice in zip-loc bags, [they leak:( ] ,sleeping in the buff...oops I didn't intend to admit that. (my pastor sez sleeping nude could lead to dancing) Anyhoo, I was miserable...AND THEN I FOUND CHILLOW & the rest (& the sweats) are history.
Yes, they DO warm up to body temp eventually but that's why I BOUGHT TWO!!! I keep an extra next to my bed & switch if needed. I liked them so much I bought a third to put inside the pillowcase with my icky-sticky T-P neck bump pillow. I don't care if they DO wear out...I'll just buy more.

Yes, I DID have to buy TWO MORE. They didn't spring a leak but they got full of MOLD .....YUCK!
I stored them in my closet for the winter & now they are full of mold & SMELL.
I really thought they would last more than one season.
They work so well, & as I have no alternative, I bought 2 more.
I bought distilled water to fill them with this time & think I'll add a bit of bleach to the water.
I guess I should have drained them befor winter storage, but the manufacturer didn't mention anything about that. They DID say that if they develop mold they should be tossed.
We'll see how my new plan works.
I DO NOT intend to spend money on 2 new ones EVERY year.

I purchased this product after my boyfriend took over my Chillow I got for Christmas. I had gotten the standard Chillow, so I decided to spend the extra 5 bucks and get the ChillowPlus. Both of them are great, but I really love this Chillow. It is much softer feeling than the regular one, and it doesn't have as strong of a latex-y, vinyl-y smell (which I don't mind, but my boyfriend often notices it).
As a brand name in general, the Chillow is great! Our apartment has temperature control issues, and if we dont pump up the heat while we sleep, we wake up in a freezer. So while I sleep, I am often very warm and wake up soaked in sweat in the middle of the night. The Chillow has helped me greatly. I can sleep through the night, and I fall asleep much faster with it too. It is also great when I have a migraine, as the cooling is very theraputic. If you are considering buying one, I would 100% recommend.

I am in menopause and I cannot take hormone replacement therapy to manage hot flashes due to breast cancer. I have not been able to sleep at night until getting this great product.
I don't use it on top of my pillow but I place it under my upper back. This is what really keeps me cool and being cool has dramatically limited the number of hot flashes I was having at night. I went from 4 to 5 times waking up each night down to 0-1. I use the pillow when I am watching TV (behind my back) or working at my computer.
It is easy to activate and it's not that heavy! The complaints I have read posted here I have not expereienced or don't agree with. I would not hesitate to order this product!
It was easy to activate and occasionally you have let some air out, but that is no big deal. I was going absolutely crazy with hot flashes and this has helped me SO MUCH!

I heard about this on TV when Rachel Ray tried three readily available "aides" for night sweats. This was the only one of the three that was reported to be successful by the users. I ordered one immediately, charged it up according to its directions, and had an immediately more comfortable night's sleep! It works according to directions. It takes a little bit of adjusting to fit my specific sleeping requirements, but I was only without it a short period of time when I gave mine away to my neighbor facing surgery. I ordered myself another pronto.
As well, it is comforting to the aches and pains that occur with my daily gym work-outs! The only problem is deciding which ache needs it most.
When it gets warm from soaking up my body heat, I move it aside and let it cool off. I've considered getting another so I can rotate them!
This works for night sweats!

I bought this product while searching the internet. I have been going through menapause and severe hot flashes also severe leg cramps. I couldn't wait to receive it and use it. Although the preparation takes a bit of time once it is done you will not be disappointed. It kept me cool all night and when my legs were so bad I placed it under my calf muscles. It is wonderful. I only wish I would have found this sooner. The rubber smell takes a while to disappear but I can live with that. If you are looking for something to help your hot flashes you will love this.ChillowPlus Brand Comfort Device 1 ea
