Sharpens your knife razor sharp and leaves a nice polished finish too. It's handy to have 3 different grade stones, depending on how dull your blade is. It was shipped fairly fast with standard shipping. Only problem is it does not have rubber stoppers on the bottom, so it might slide across your surface you have it on. Nice little sharpening stones. Have gotten my kitchen knives sharp enough to take the hair off my arm. I'm sure someone with more skill than me could get them shaving sharp with this kit. I don't think the stones are too small as others have mentioned. I've done several 8" chefs knives with no problems. The Smiths Tri-Hone sharpening system is great. I sharpened my 8" Chef knife back to "scary status" with little trouble. The included angel guide was actually a great help to me "A novice sharpener" Like other reviewers I do recommend placing the system on a towel to keep it from sliding on a counter top. I use to sharpen my knives with diamond grits, then I decided to try out arkansas stones and at first I didn't understand why I was not achieving hair popping sharpness as I was with diamond grits. I then started mixing the honing oil with water and started achieving great sharpness and from then on have not stopped using this sharpener! Great Product!Customer Review: Cant stop using it

this 3 stone knife sharpner is the best! i have been looking at other models and this one is Way worth it. I use it on my kitchen knives and my specail fish knife.
So far it has done the trick, great for the outdoors people.
This is a must buy for everyone who owns a knife and likes to keep them clean.
