Tools and Hardware Reviews of Snapware 60621 Snap-N-Stack 3-Layer Ornament Box with DividersCustomer Review: Ornament storage box Summary: 5 Stars
I got this item for our church to store glass ornaments in and it is really great. The trays come apart so you can just carry it to the tree and take the ornaments out and hang them right then. It is very efficient and protects well. I would highly recommend this item.
Customer Review: I LIKE IT Summary: 5 Stars
Took all the balls off my tree and put them in this snapable box. I can understand how it could break or fall apart if held by the top handle, so I dont chance it. I hold it underneath, because its very lightweight.

Customer Review: Better than most Summary: 4 Stars
I had been searching for a better option for ornament storage. So far as I have found, these are the BEST! But, I didn't like the ornaments rolling around in the plastic box. I did buy a roll of foam packing from a local office supply like this Foam Wrap 150' x 12" Roll. The 12" squares fit near perfectly in the bottom and don't take up room so the lid still closes. This also helps keep the dividers more secure and from moving around.
Yes, the dividers don't fit into the plastic box slots. I'm guessing that the slots where originally put in and it came with plastic dividers, but there were probably problems with the dividers expanding and contracting in weather, plus the ornaments on being as cushioned as the new cardboard ones. So, despite the other negative reviews about the dividers, I don't have a problem with them. They are similar to other storage items. Also, I used the extra dividers that I wasn't using to filling in gaps at the edges of the dividers for smaller ornaments. this also saves the un-used dividers for later use if needed. I like that I can separate the individual layers, place them on the floor and see all my ornaments without having to take everything out of each layer to get to the next.
I used to have a storage bin similar to this Iris Ornament Storage Box - Large. This is the one I'm replacing (see review). I HATED it. Because the box tapers down toward the bottom, only certain dividers fit in the bottom versus the top. And only a certain cardboard separator for layers only fits in the bottom. Every time we took ornaments out of the box, we had to remove the dividers and separators to get to the next level. All the dividers would fall apart and we had to figure them out all over again when we packed up for the season. I had to tape the dividers together. Also, because the box tapers, the edges of the separators didn't keep things from sliding down the sides. Everything was always a jumble.
Just like other plastic containers, the edges can crack and chip. For this reason, I don't recommend having them shipped to you, buy them from a local store. I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. Save your coupons and get them after Christmas. I plan on getting more of these.
Customer Review: These Are Great and here are two Good Tips! Summary: 4 Stars
We have well over 300 ornaments of varying sizes and shapes; it takes me FOREVER to unwrap MOUNDS of tissue paper to trim the tree and rewrap to take it down. We switched to these this year - bought them at Target at cheaper price 9.99/piece. So far - so good. Do not drop them on hard surface - the plastic will crack as the parking lot at Target proved, so it remains to be seen if the latches will hold up. COUPLE BIG TIPS - we too have breakable, valuable antique and handblown ornaments. I bought a bunch of packs of coffee filters at dollar store - take 3-5 per section and drop them into each section - you can even fit them in when setting up the tray/layer with 16 sections. It holds them snug so they are not rolling around. Also buy a big roll of bubble wrap - the kind that is perforated; then put two per section - one bottom and one top so the ornaments are padded. No more tissue paper - can't wait to set up the tree next year - will go much faster. FYI - fit over 300 ornaments in just 10 containers.
