The SNO BRUM offers consumers a way to quickly sweep snow off a vehicle and away from the user. With the SNO BRUM, drivers can easily push even heavy, wet snow off the roof, hood and trunk without scratching the paint or harming the finish of any vehicle. The durable molded polyethylene foam head has been lab-tested for non-abrasiveness, freeze resistance and center load stress and durability and has achieved the highest ratings in all tests. The oversized head (6' x 17") is the largest snow remover available. The high-impact plastic face plate is recessed into the foam to prevent contact with the vehicle. Customer Review: Does the job as advertised, handle could be better

I was tired of using a brush to clean away large amounts of snow so I finally bought one of these. This tool will do 90-95% of the job. You still need a brush w/scraper for the rest of the job.
My impressions:
The brush works as advertised. It just snowed this morning and I had about 2 inches of heavy snow and slush mixed with some ice. I started chopping at the mess and broke off huge chunks and they slid right off my car. My car was cleaned in a fraction of the time it would take by using a brush alone. I used a push and also a pull method. I found the pull method to be more effective for heavier snow. I did notice that the foam pad was starting to bend at certain points when I started to push it because the snowy mix was so heavy. I just worked in slightly smaller sections. I don't think this would be a problem with softer fresh snow. I was impressed with the results and actually surprised just how fast the job was completed. I did the whole car without having to stop and catch my breath. Just remember that this product will take care of 90-95% of the job. That's good enough to get in your car to drive away. You will still need a brush or a scraper to get to the ice or snow that has accumulated in smaller crevices like the windshield cowl or headlight and grill area. This product is not good for tackling ice like some people are stating; it is just too soft for ice and you might damage the foam in the process. It's called a Sno Brum not an "Ice" brum.
The main downside of the brush is that the handle is garbage. It does not have a fluid motion when you extend and collapse it. Once it is extended, it is a pain to twist it to collapse it back. For some reason it gets stuck or locked in the extend position. I also wish the point where the pole threads into the foam pad was more sturdy. I can see how some people are saying that the handle becomes loose. To remedy this, just deal with it the best you can or attach a broom handle or some other industrial handle. It's not a deal breaker but for twenty bucks, I think they could have given you a better handle.
Conclusion:
I should have bought this thing years ago. The amount of time and energy saved is well worth the price of the brush. It works as advertised. I highly recommend it.
