American made solar cells charge the inlcuded Ni-Cad batteries during the day. A built-in sensor turns on the lights at dusk and off at dawn. Lasts 12+ hours with fully charged battery. Customer Review: Nice looking solar flowers

Upon opening this package I was not sure if I liked the product or not. Whilst the tulip-looking solar lights are big and bright, they did look cheap and plastic... and very fake up close.
After placing them near the base of a small tree though I realised that during the day time they look quite real from a reasonable distance, and at night they shine very bright adding a nice set of lighting to the garden.
Each of the three flowers are separate and cordless requiring nothing more than adding the battery and 'planting' (the stems are also flexible allowing you to wrap them around decking, poles etc but I thought that looked strange).
Overall, these are recommended if you fancy some solar powered lights in your yard or garden that is rather unique.
By the way, in the product description Amazon claim the flowers are 10" in diameter. They are not, more like probably 4" or so - making them in keeping with the size of a healthy tulip.
