Customer Review: Very Quiet and Effective Little Fan

This fan is extemely quiet. It's quiet enough that we can sleep with it on with only a minimal amount of noise. I've had it for about a month now and use it every night to help pull more cool air from the air conditioning vent into the bedroom. Have had no problems whatsoever with the fan. We used the timer once just to see if it worked but did not notice the ticking noise others have mentioned. The manual that came with this fan did say there might be some ticking when the timer is activated. Overall, this fane is really cute (for a fan) and is very lightweight. It does the job I purchased it for and does it well.Customer Review: Love this fan

Bought this fan because of the great reviews and looking for something mountable. Small but powerful. My inlaws are visiting from Maine (we're in Hawaii) and these are the hot months when the winds stop. Since they are from the NE, they are particularly sensitive to the heat. We put this fan up in their room and they raved about how well it worked and how quiet it was (the "quietness" was especially notable because they live in the country where there is no sound at night at all, thus they are also very sensitive to sounds when they are sleeping). I'm buying another one, and may even buy a third.Customer Review: Great little fan

Bought this for an employee who's always hot while sitting at his desk. It's extremely quiet and puts out a lot of air. For the price and size, it really is a great little fan. The fan head does not move back and forth as most oscillating fans do. There is a cleverly-designed rotating grill on the face of the van, and it has variably-pitched fins, so as the grill slowly spins around, it directs air around the area in a circular sweeping motion. You can place the fan on your desk or mount it on a wall, and the fan head pivots 180-degrees to direct the flow as needed. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Got $20 and need fan? Look no further

I have to tell you, and with much verve as it were, that this fan is wonderful.
My old fan was loud, rickety, tall and dusty, dirty, etc...
I brought in this Soleus Air and I am so happy. This is wonderful in any small office space or bedroom for sure.
It's whisper quiet, you cannot even tell it's oscillating because it's all done very subtle-like which means it doesn't take up a ton of space having to move the entire head back and forth.
It's beautiful aesthetically, and functionally.
The best $20 I spent all summer.

Our second story bedroom heats up to the mid 80's in the daytime. Rather than run the HVAC, we used a swamp cooler at night positioned in front of the 20 inch window until its motor died earlier this year. Our replacement cooler was not as effective, and much noisier, so we purchased this fan. After building a small shelf to place in the window frame and sill, this fan is amazingly effective, and wonderfully quiet for overnight operation, especially at the two lowest speeds. The spinning fan guard does a great job distributing the air. It's also quite stylish, needless to say.
