Tools and Hardware Reviews of Sona Pillow for Snoring and Mild Sleep ApneaCustomer Review: Both the pillow and the Brookstone return policy are utterly useless Summary: 1 Stars
This was a Christmas gift. I would never have bought this myself. Brookstone tends to be gimmicky and over-priced. At $130, this is one of the more gimmicky and over-priced.
The pillow has very little substance. This is odd for one with such a weird design. It cannot hold its shape even in the beginning. But then I dislike soft pillows, such as down, so take that into account. I prefer pillows that are very firm.
I am not going to sleep with my arm up over my head, which the instructions recommend.
I tried to return it and got the same BS the others got.
To control snoring, apnea, and GERD, I just use 2-3 pillows stacked on top of each other. I can arrange them however I like and they use standard pillow cases. This works very well. If you use this thing, you will have to wash the pillow case and return it the same day. Maybe Brookstone sells replacement pillows for $50 each.
Caveat emptor whenever you walk into a Brookstone store, but then I am not a Brookstone fan.
Customer Review: Bad! Bad! Bad! Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased this pillow at a local Brookstone thinking it could help me with my snoring, (or more for my wife's insomnia), after trying it our for one night, I've decides that it just isn't worth the $125 price tag, it was not comfortable at all, didn't stop my snoring, I was told that I ended up sleeping on by back anyways. So today we tried to return it, but guess what, they don't allow any returns, not for pillows or any "personal" product! For any reason whatsoever, the store manager proclaimed.
Perhaps Brookstone should test their products thoroughly before they put them in their stores, or AT THE LEAST warn customers about their return policy before a purchase. As an ex-regular customer of Brookstone, I am utterly disappointed by this experience. Anyone wants to buy mine for 1/2 price?
Customer Review: Brookstone Should be Ashamed Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased this pillow, but think it is
not worth the price. The same results can be
obtained from any other pillow by simply sleeping
on ones side with an arm underneath a regular pillow.
This product requires a unique pillow case, and the
one(s) provided by Brookstone and made in China are
so flimsy and so cheap! The zipper will pull off quickly
and the material used for the case is very low quality.
The guy shown using the pillow in the ad is using the
pillow without a pillowcase---I wonder how long one could
do this without cleaning!!
Customer Review: pillow doesn't work Summary: 1 Stars
We would have to agree totally with all the negative reviews posted here. The pillow simply does not work as it claims. My husband found it extremely uncomfortable (it was difficult to place his arm properly) and woke up with aches & pains on top of still snoring all night. We were at least warned about the no return policy before we bought it so knew the risk that if it didnt' work we'd be out the cost, but after many other attmepts to stop his snoring we decided to give this a try because of its claims (and positive reviews on other sites claiming it works - we should have checked here first).
Customer Review: Hurt my neck and Brookstone wouldn't accept returns. Summary: 1 Stars
I tried this for one night. It hurt my neck and I decided to return it. To return it I was instructed on Amazon's return page to call Brookstone. I called them and they refused. They said that they have a new policy that pillows are considered personal items and can't be returned. I informed them that this information was nowhere to be found on the web page. They still refused. I called amazon and explained the situation. They immediately refunded my money under their A-Z guarantee. They told me they would reprimand Brookstone. Hurray Amazon. Boo Brookstone.
